THREE POINT LIGHTING:
KEY LIGHT:
This light is the main light out of all three. This one is the strongest light and has the most impact out of all of them. It's placed on one side of the person so the other has a shadow.
FILL LIGHT:
This light is placed on the opposite side of the key light, this is used to fill shadows. The fill will be less brighter than the key is. To get the look you want, move the light further away to achieve it.
BACK LIGHT:
The back light is placed behind the person, rather than having the lighting directly at the person, it creates more highlights and dimension. This helps seperate the different subjects.
