LA1: USE RESEARCH METHODS TO GATHER MATERIALS: STORYBOARDS

STORYBOARDS:

A storyboard is a visual outline of a film. It can clearly demonstrate how they may want a scene to look and can show a more accurate representation. This is to show the finished product precisely. Most storyboards are hand drawn but some animators use a software because that's easier for them to work with. The finished result of a storyboard look's like a comic book - ( https://www.masterclass.com/articles/how-to-make-a-storyboard-for-a-film )

When working with a script you already know the plot of the film so making the storyboard should flow quite easily and can be easy to design. Each image on the storyboard needs to include as much detail so it gives a clear representation of how each scene should look. The aim of the storyboard is to get a clear view of the scene across so they know exactly how it's meant to look - ( https://www.masterclass.com/articles/how-to-make-a-storyboard-for-a-film)

Designing a storyboard can also save a lot of time because having a basic comic like drawing with the way you want the film to look can avoid confusion and or things going wrong and taking time to fix. Not only will it help explain your vision to your team but it will save time in the long run - ( https://www.slideshare.net/LucyBurton13/project-diary-205349970 )
