‘AN AFTER EFFECTS GUIDE FOR NEWBIES’

ADVANTAGES:
-       Instead of only explaining she shows you on her PC along with the explanation so it’s 100% clear and understandable.

-       Shows you how to make your edits the best they can be with the right smoothness and flow etc.

-       She discusses key frames, graphs and motion blur which are things that make your edit look more professional.

-       She recommends a good use of shortcuts on the keyboard and tips for you in the editing process so that it’s easier for you.

-       In the comments under the video she has clearly marked what minute each section
is so for example, transitions 1:03 which means the transitions tutorial starts at 1 minute 3 seconds so if you want to learn/find a specific thing it’s a lot easier and less hassle.

                                                                      DISADVANTAGES:
-       This person’s graphs aren’t the smoothest and there are ways to improve.

-       She forgot to add one of the plugins in the video so she put it in the description of the video which not everybody will think to look or won’t look therefore aren’t getting the full benefit.

'                'AFTER EFFECTS BEGINNERS TUTORIAL | ae basics, simple transitions + tips'

ADVANTAGES:

They talk about the compositions of your project so for example 1080 x 1080 is a square and it tells you to uncheck ‘lock aspect ratio’.

This tutorial is more in depth than the other regarding the information it gives you and how you should approach it. This tutorial explains how to import videos and photos whereas the other just expects you to already know already.

It also explains you need to add motion tile to avoid black borders/lines in your edit. This makes your edit look more professional because you won’t have black in your edit.

This tutorial is also beneficial because it mentions that the tutorials they show you are just a basic guideline and you’re the creator.

DISADVANTAGES:
They could have went through the buttons at the top of the screen and the side of the screen and explained their uses and what you can use them for.

This person could of perhaps made information clearer on the video by making the important text stand out so it could be bold etc.

AFTER EFFECTS BEGINNERS TUTORIAL | ae basics, simple transitions + tips

ADVANTAGES:
When their text is on the screen explaining what to do they have highlighted key words in the color blue so you can clearly see the key points.

In this video unlike the others they have pointed out what each section of the program is for which shows beginners exactly where you can find different things.

This tutorial is more in depth about the very beginning so splitting and putting clips together whereas the others have transitions in and things the next step up.

If you don't know a single thing about after effects this is a simple and easy way to learn because of how little they show.

DISADVANTAGES:
The video only has the minimum in, the very basic things you need to get started. They maybe could have included some more things to progress onto the next step.

Although they went into a lot of detail about what they were showing, they could of possibly show more because it was only a 8 minute long video.
